Dear Mr. Hawkins,
It is with sincere regard that I
congratulate The Peaceful Solution Character Education Incorporated for the special care
you have taken to provide a character education program for our youth today. This is an
exceptional program which will meet the needs of educators to provide direction for the
lives of our children so they may live in peace and security, rather than violence and
instability.
The Peaceful Solution Incorporated is quite an outstanding organization. Your character
education curricula clearly demonstrate practicality, applicability and solutions to the
problems we face today. I am in support of The Peaceful Solution Character Education
Program and its activities.
I can see how this comprehensive program could foster positive social skills that will
encourage students to get along with one another, This will, in turn, alleviate the common
problems such as bullying and teasing within our schools today.
I am pleased to support your character education program.
Sincerely,
Cecil J. Picard

To Whom It May Concern:
I am the only school teacher in a small, rural, one-room schoolhouse in Idaho. I am
writing to express my appreciation to Peaceful Solution for sharing their materials with
our school and allowing us to take part in the trial of their materials in our classroom.
Although I have not completed all the lessons, I have previewed the lessons and have
started teaching the lessons. I was most impressed with the very first lesson about
"belonging." Peaceful Solution is the first program of this sort that addresses
the term "belonging" in a unique and fresh way. It also makes perfect sense. It
is my belief that this approach will eliminate many future problems in my classroom. The
view that "ownership" does not mean you must share is one that respects the
dignity of the person and his honor in "ownership". That makes perfect sense in
the "real adult world," but children are not taught that and are often
"made to share" and they do not understand why that happens.
Lessons #3 and #5 build perfectly on that idea with "self-respect" and
"self-control". The way the program leads from "ownership" to
"self-respect" and, finally, to "self-control" is fresh and yet
perfectly sensible. I am excited to finish teaching all the lessons and watch the impact
it has on student behavior. I have talked to students about making "good
choices" but never developed a foundation as solid as I believe the Peaceful Solution
lessons will develop. I anticipate that using this firm foundation as a point of future
reference will greatly enhance interpersonal relationships in my classroom in a way that
will be easily understood by all.
Respectfully yours,
Wanda E. Valeska

The Peaceful Solution is
helping students around the world. International educators are
saying...

The
implementation of peaceful solution in our school has been
very successful. Our teachers like the students activities
especially the students worksheets. The curriculum is very
teacher friendly and implementation is very easy. Our students
are grateful to learn the different values and apply them in
their daily living.
I am also proud to announce that our student discipline referral
had a significant decrease from 93 students referral from last
SY2011 to 16 students office referral this SY2012. With the
students population of 430, the Peaceful Solution is a great
help for me as school principal to deal with minimal number of
students being referred to the office throughout the entire
year.
It is an amazing program and teachers love to use it!

Dear Peaceful Solutions; We have just recently completed our first 13 week session here at the
Moberly Correctional Center in the Missouri Department of Corrections. We started the
class with 12 Offenders and completed the session with the same 12 Offenders.
I would deem the program quite successful and very
well accepted amoung the Offenders here at the Moberly Correctional Center as WE now have
a waiting List of Offenders wanting to take the program. I have enclosed with
this letter copies of the Pre-Tests and Post-Tests taken by the first Class for your
records.
We are now in the process of starting up our second class. I
am using graduates of the first class as peer counselors for the next class. Those who
have graduated have grasp the idea with open arms and are looking forward to the next
class and sharing with those selected for that class.
I have also passed on the information about Your Program to
the others within My Department and am constantly receiving questions about it. I
truly believe you have a very good product here and it would work well in any Correctional
Facility.
I would certainly like to thank you for allowing us the use
of Your Program here at the Moberly Correctional Center. It can and does make a
difference with Offenders. If they work at it, It will work for them. After all there are
always "PEACEFUL SOLUTIONS".

The Peaceful Solution Character Education Program was a huge success with my students, and
it provided a new perspective by which they learned to settle disputes in a peaceful
manner. The subject material proved to be challenging and very instrumental in forming a
positive method to solve problems. The feedback between teacher and student was an
integral part of the discussion. A spirit of cooperation developed that wasn't present
before, and while opinions varied at times, my students used the opportunity to express a
willingness to explore new techniques to help each other overcome the negative aspects of
prison life.
This program definitely could be used as a tool throughout our prison system to increase
the awareness of respect and how it should be applied on a daily basis. I would strongly
recommend that your organization pursue other prison systems with this program as well, It
really produced some outstanding results by making my students more understanding of their
responsibilities not to violate the rights of others.
Enclosed with this letter are the test results to be evaluated by your staff. As a
suggestion, perhaps your organization would like to consider making certificates available
for institutions as a reward far the participation of the students. Let me close by saying
how thankful I am that you offered the Long Term Offender's Program here at Lee
Correctional Institution the opportunity to pilot this wonderful course.

"My name is Sergio M
Before I learned about
the Peaceful Solution I was an inconsiderate, revengeful, impulsive and dishonest type of
person but that came to an end when I learned about the Peaceful Solution. I've
learned lots of valuable skills that will help me become a better person by making STOP,
THINK, LOOK AT THE OPTIONS and then PROCEEDING in any circumstance that arises. I think
that if I would of known of this Peaceful Solution sooner, I wouldn't be here or in the
situation because I would of stopped and thought of the consequences this could bring me.
I should have stopped and thought of the person I gave a ride was a US Citizen. Upon my
release I plan to keep driving but I will be more careful in every aspect because there
are more people out there like I used to be when I didn't know about the Peaceful
Solution." ~Sergio M., #04-2007, Inmate - CCA
"Since the first day I
decided to attend this class about Peaceful Solution, I've learned a lot.
It has
changed me, in the way I think, how I react to things and problems. I've learned that
mainly how to control myself and how good is better than being bad and have to hate
everything and everyone. I have noticed a lot of changes in myself that I just
want to help others and tell them about this program. It's a very interesting program. And
now I see things in a different way. Because before I would only see and thought that
things only had one way but now I know that there's a lot of different ways and options.
I've learned that for everything a person says or does has a consequence and I've also
learned that not everything a person says or does is good and not everything someone tells
you is always the right thing. So far this is what I've learned and hopefully God willing,
so I can be able to teach and let others know that you don't get everything you
want by war or fights or hate. There's the Peaceful Solution."

| Dear PSCEP,
We used your program in a
juvenile detention center for a period of 4 days. We were able to work through unit one.
The things I liked best were the real life scenarios/ anecdotes and the realistic fiction
story about Juan. These were the sections that prompted the most discussion among my
students. I like the goal of your program. As a teacher with 20 years of experience, and
as a parent of teens, I believe there is a need for your curriculum in our schools. I
appreciated the discussion between the two of us regarding the role of character education
in public schools. It is a good topic for national attention. It is hard for teachers to
create their own materials for character education while trying to balance and respect the
separation between church and state. As I told you, my husband is a social studies
teacher. He teaches current events woven into his classes. He tells me that today's high
school students are very hesitant to take a stand on their beliefs in what is right and
what is wrong. He guesses that such discussions are not necessarily common in today's
hurried households. Contemporary media certainly makes an impact; it would be nice to
incorporate character curric. Which sends its own message.
I think my students came away from chapter one with more reflection on the difference
between character and personality , and food for thought that they can take ownership and
responsibility in shaping their own character. We had our best discussion on living with
certain influences or making choices to shape their lives.
There is a lot of text in your program which bogged us down somewhat, because I wasn't
using the teacher suggestion text. We jumped in with the student texts only. (I see that
the teacher text is here and avail. For next teacher.)
I'll spread the word about your program. It would be good for pairs of teachers to pilot
together so ideas could be floated/ hammered out between each other.
Sincerely,
Lori Ortiz

A Peaceful Solution Success Story... William Crouse
From Prisoner to Peacemaker
For
20 years, William Crouse was incarcerated by the Alaskan
Judicial system. He spent time in detention centers,
prisons, and even solitary confinement for a period of
seven years. The State of Alaska Judicial system
declared him "incorrigible" with no hope of
rehabilitation.
He
was then introduced to The Peaceful Solution
Character Education Program. Through applying the
principles taught in this program, Mr. Crouse was able
to take hold of his own future and change his life.
William Crouse has left behind the Alaskan prisons and
moved to a new chapter in his life, spreading the word
about The Peaceful Solution Character Education
Program.
He
became an educator for The Peaceful Solution and
went on to become the Founder and National Director of
The Character Connection, a group dedicated to bringing
character education to people in all walks of life. His
organization offers classes, seminars and workshops to
businesses, physicians, public schools, private schools,
homeschools, social organizations, detention centers,
prisons, churches, and individuals and families.
The
Character Connection now has branches in five states.
William Crouse is an example of what changing your
character can mean not only for yourself, but for others
around you.

And educators who
participated in our Pilot Program said these are the strong points that the PSCEP has...
-
The
lessons are easy to implement and the students liked the songs.
-
Each unit touches on every aspect of building a student's character.
Making each individual into a better person which will stick with them throughout their
whole life.
-
Sequential concepts, straight forward, easy to understand.
-
It
addresses important character traits
-
It has a great message.
It stresses key points over and over so that the
students understand what is really important.
-
The tapes with the songs are great. The students liked singing along.
Easy
to follow lessons.
-
The program covers a lot of areas that are very important in developing a better
individual. I have enjoyed teaching the content of the program. Each section has
information that was educational.
-
I loved the whole program for my third graders.

Parents and others have
had very positive things to say about the PSCEP...
"I love the Peaceful
Solution character education program! As I teach my children, I am learning along
with them. My daughter reminds me to ask before using her belongings.
We
are building a mutual respect between us. My daughter is always asking to listen to the
song and narrative tapes. They really help us remember what we learn in the
lessons. The Peaceful Solution Character Education Program is perfect guide for
family life." ~ Jenny H., Fond du Lac,
WI, USA
"I am convinced that
the
answer is to educate, educate, educate our children with the moral values as
firmly established in the Peaceful Solution Program."
~V. Byrd, M.D., USA
"I am amazed
with this program. I started both my children at the kindergarten level, so that we could
go through it together as a family. This program is wonderful!
I was surprised
that even I learned a new way to look at things. It is an added bonus that
my
character is being improved as I teach my children. Thank you for such a great
program."
~D.M., Texas, USA
"The
PSCEP has helped my children to accept the differences in each other, yet given them a
guideline of right and wrong. They are more respectful and joyous. There is an
eagerness to learn new skills. At the same time, they now realize the purpose
behind diligently doing what is asked of them. The children encourage one another
in benefiting the family and others. The PSCEP has shown them how to have
confidence and maturity in whatever they choose to do. This program has been
taught from K-Jr. High. It's very easy to teach, interactive, and not age limiting.
It
is the best character education program available."
~ Wanda White, Clyde, TX,
USA
"Before I was
introduced to the Peaceful Solution Character Education Program, I never knew what true
peace was. My life was filled with depravities, conflicts and sorrows. After being taught
and implementing the PSCEP, my life is filled with great peace and joy. The PSCEP gave me
a real foundation to build a positive way of life. I truly believe the PSCEP has saved my
life. I am a parent now and am able to teach my daughter the PSCEP and give her the
positive moral character she needs for life."
~Q. Kazyaka, Age 36, Mother & student
"I have been
teaching the PSCEP to my son since he was three. It has really helped mold him
into a more obedient and respectful person. When we go in public places, people always
comment on how well behaved he is. Thanks for giving me tools to train him better
than I would have otherwise." ~ T. H. Longmont, CO, USA
"I have had
many times, since the start of the teaching of PSCEP that my children have come to me and
told me they were about to steal something, (candy or something from the refrigerator)
and
they would remember the lessons about STOP (Stop Think Options and Proceed) and they would
put the item back and go their way. I had no knowledge of them stealing as they
did, until the PSCEP. They came to me on their own and told me how they corrected
themselves or each other. I think the PSCEP has helped me (the Mom) the most, to be able
to see the difference in raising children in a proper manner. That there is a way
other than yelling and crying and frustration. For every situation you may face,
the PSCEP has an answer to compare your situation to and to use it to teach in a positive
way. It has helped me to be able to guide the corrections that are needed to be
delivered in a kind way, that teaches and does not belittle. I think one of the neatest
PSCEP moments we had was when were out shopping and my son experienced another child
throwing a fit in the store and completely disrespecting his parents. He was like WOW do
you see that? From there I went into a respect lesson and I had his full attention, he did
not want to be like the example he had seen, which was wonderful for me to hear."
~ A. Glick, Clyde, TX, USA
"The Peaceful
Solution is a great program! I love it!!! Teaching the Peaceful Solution Character
Education Program to my daughter is a joy. The lesson plans are very simple to understand
and very comprehensive. My daughter and I love the songs and narratives on the
tapes. I know that these little life lessons that she is learning from this program will
help her to make right choices in her life when she is older."
~K. H., WI, USA
| Dear Peaceful
Solution Character Education Incorporated,
A few years ago, your character
education program was highly
recommended to me by several friends of mine so I decided to purchase your program for my
two boys. Little did I know what a great impact it would make on our family life.
I bought the program to
help my children build right moral character in their life, only to find out how much I
needed this program as much as them. In teaching them the program, I am able to
learn and apply right moral character myself.
The simple concept of
"asking" first and respecting the rights others have over their possessions has
brought great peace in our family. To see my children respect each others
possessions by asking first and then accepting the answer given is such a beautiful thing
to watch. I would that I was taught this program as a child. So much misery in my life it
could have prevented. But it is never too late with the Peaceful Solution program. I
believe that we as adults need this program as well so that we may always set right, moral
character for our children to follow. I am taking full advantage of this program, learning
myself as I teach my children. ANYONE, no matter what age, can learn from this program if
they desire to.
Such a void has been filled in my
life because of the Peaceful Solution Character Education program. Teaching my children
this program and seeing the effects of it in our family life gives me a great sense of
accomplishment. Teaching our children right, moral, character is one of the most
important things we can do for them so that they may have the tools they need to live a
peaceful life, one of integrity and honor.
I highly recommend this
program to ALL people of ALL ages. It truly does have the ability to change the
hearts and minds of people everywhere.
Sincerely,
Rebekah Fontenot

"The PSCEP is such a blessing! I home-school my three children, and the PSCEP
is part of our daily curriculum. The lessons are laid-out step-by-step, require
minimal preparation time for the teacher, and include projects and activities that are fun
to do (with simple supplies) and reinforce the lesson's objective. The
supplemental songs and narratives on cassette tapes also reinforce proper moral character,
and are played daily in our home. I can see the PSCEP concepts "come
alive" as my children interact with each other, remember to ask, show respect to
other's possessions, and practice self-control. The PSCEP is the answer
to my prayers, providing me with the materials to teach my children proper moral
character. Thank you!" ~Linda, age 30, Cedar

the importance of asking from the PSCEP. I am now taking Peaceful Solution lessons with my
daughter. Thanks Peaceful Solution."

"After
reviewing this program, I can see why this program is needed in today's business, schools,
and economy. A lot of the teachings this program is offering, at one time, was something
that was taught at home, school and church.
Being in business many years and
being involved in school functions, I can see where a program like this would be a great
start and building block in bringing the future to a more stable, peaceful and respectful
place.
I know by looking around that the
world around us doesn't look too promising at times and we need to do anything now to help
our kids make this a better place. I believe we should consider and support the peaceful
solution program. Who knows with this being a worldwide program it could help with
relations with other countries."

"The Peaceful
Solution has showed me to be kind and respect others. When I am kind and respect
others I see that they are kind and respect me as well. If I am not kind and respect
others there has been fights and conflicts. One lesson out of the Peaceful Solution is to
listen to your mom and dad. One time I didn't listen to my mom and something bad occurred.
Another time my sister gave me some money that wasn't hers. I spent it on candy and I felt
bad because that money was my mom's money. I've now learned to respect others
possessions and not to take money from others."

"I have learned from

And it's the kind thing to do. When I remember to ask, that keeps me safe!"
~Asher, age 7, Cedar
Grove, WI, USA
"I'm Leah. Here is what I
learned from the Peaceful Solution Character Education Program (PSCEP):
I have two brothers, ages 7 and 4. Before the PSCEP lessons, they sometimes would open my
boxes, drawers, and journal! But now, they ask before using/touching my possessions.
I
am so glad that we got the PSCEP books! I learned to Stop, Think, consider my Options, and
then Proceed with the RIGHT CHOICE! I also learned how to respect my parents, brothers,
and whoever is in charge of me. I just got done with making a poster, "Say
NO To Stealing!" The projects are so fun! The very first lesson,
Grade 1, Unit 1, Lesson 1 even has you make a mobile! I hope you choose the PSCEP books for yourself! They really help.
If only the people all over the world would get these books, there would be
PEACE!!!!!"

"The
message that the Peaceful Solution Character Education Program brings forth is a powerful
one. Simple concepts of ownership, respect, asking, self control, and not

"I enjoy
learning the Peaceful Solution with my family. The Peaceful Solution has helped me

I've noticed people have started to ask before using my things.
I now have a more
peaceful work environment." ~Mike Springen, Beloit,

The PSCEP
taught me how to be a more valuable employee. The character building lessons reduce stress
